Britney Spears' writing of memoir is 'healing'
/BRITNEY Spears has said that the process of writing her memoir has been ‘healing and therapeutic’.
The pop icon took to Instagram on Monday and shared the information in a post that seems now-removed.
Given the post no longer exists, we won’t share much of the detail of the comments she made - it is out there should you want to see it - but she did point out that that she’d be taking an “intellectual approach” to the book.
Details about the memoir are of course scarce at the moment. But given it is reportedly a ‘tell-all’ we’re sure Britney fans - and those keen to read about her experiences in her own words - will want to pick it up on release.
We do know that the book is to be published by Simon & Schuster.
We also know that Page Six previously reported the book deal was worth $15 million - one of the richest in history, behind books by Bill Clinton and Michelle and Barack Obama.
As to when the book will be available we don’t know, but we’ll certainly update you when we do.
Ultimately, it’s good to know Spears is benefitting from the process of writing, considering that in spite of her many successes she has experienced incredibly difficult situations in her life to date.
No doubt there will be plain speaking with regards to the conservatorship she was legally released from in November last year.
And it’s likely she will speak to the dispute with her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and to Jamie’s own title Things I Should Have Said.
We hope Britney’s writing is going as well as it can be though, and that the book is everyting she wants it to be.
In other autobiographical news, Tom Parker’s book Hope will be released July 21st, and is available for pre-order now.
